![]() Should the player character die in combat, the game will end, but on easier difficulties the player can choose to restart the day. If the player's resolve drops to zero, this does not end the game, but changes what may follow: the attempt to swap an opponent may simply fail, or it may cause the player to engage in combat with the character. The player, instead of testing the resolve of the opponent, can try to take out the argument by attacking it directly. These arguments can damage the opponent's resolve or provide other boosts, among other effects, while they remain active. ![]() Additionally, special arguments may become active as a result of cards or other abilities. Like combat, the player is given information as to what moves the opponent will make. Here, cards represent friendly negotiations which generally do not have ill effects, hostile commentary which may trigger certain actions, and defensive composure cards to prevent losing resolve. The goal in negotiations is to wear the opponent's resolve to zero before the player character's. Negotiations play out similarly to combat, though these are between the player character and a single foe. This choice may have future impacts on mission availability and rewards. Alternatively, the player can attack to kill their opponents in the same way, but may also try to simply overpower them, allowing the opponent to flee if they take enough damage. If the player's character health drops to zero, the game is over. Once the player has used their action points, they discard all remaining cards in their hand, and the opponent's turn is resolved. The player is informed through the game's interface of what attacks their opponents will do, so they may prepare appropriately. Combat cards represent a mix of offensive skills to attack the opponent, and defensive skills as to block attacks. Each turn, the player is drawn a hand from their combat deck, and has a number of action points available to use to play cards, which have different action point costs. ![]() If an encounter results in combat, then the player takes turn with the computer opponent. Rook, an unlockable character, engages in conversation with Fssh, a non-player character. The player can also purchase limited use item cards for either deck from vendors, as well as enlist computer-controlled allies to assist in negotiation and battle. Additionally, players can earn special implants called grafts for their character that have persistent effects throughout the rest of the game. As the player progresses in the game, they can gain new cards for either deck from quest rewards or through shops, upgrade existing cards to more potent versions, or have cards removed from either deck. At the start of the game, the player's character is given two pre-defined decks of cards, one representing those to be used in combat encounters, and another to be used in negotiations. The game is broken up between moving about on an overworld map and engaging in conversation trees to gain quests or shop, and card-based encounters. ![]() While the layout of the world is the same each game, the events, missions, and other elements within it are procedurally generated on starting a new game. The player starts a game by selecting one of the predefined characters, each a mercenary seeking fame and fortune in on a planetary world that is home to an antagonistic peacekeeper body, pirates, and dangerous creatures. ![]() It looks like this: #includedir /etc/sudoers.d This is a sneaky little directive, as it appears to be a commented line upon first glance. Is it because the user nicholsonjf was inheriting sudo rights from the two group specifications of admin and sudo (seen below in the sudoers file), which were overriding the nicholsonjf user specification because they were further down in the config file?Īs I was researching this, I realized that there's a line in the /etc/sudoers file that is not a comment, but a directive that makes any file or folder under the directory /etc/sudoers/* override the contents of /etc/sudoers. I was only able to start running sudo commands as nicholsonjf once I removed nicholsonjf from the sudo and admin groups. The X-S20 autofocus algorithm inherits from the higher-end Fujifilm X-H2S and is matched only by certain Sony or Canon cameras. Autofocus is perhaps one of the most important aspects of sports videography because it makes sure your subject stays in focus as they move around the frame. With the ability to shoot 4K60p or 6K30p 10-bit video (both of which the X-S10 lacked) with minimal rolling shutter and superb in-body image stabilization (IBIS), this APS-C camera was designed from the ground up with video recording in mind.Īnd compared to the Fujifilm X-T4, you get newer video features and vastly improved autofocus capabilities. The Fujifilm X-S10 and XT-4 are usually the first models that spring to mind, and the all-new X-S20 improves upon the X-S10 in several ways to make it the ultimate entry point for shooting videos using an interchangeable lens camera. While there are plenty of great stills-and-video mirrorless cameras on the market, Fujifilm has made a name for itself by producing outstanding APS-C mirrorless cameras that truly excel when it comes to video. This will be a plus for many, but it does mean it does away with a viewfinder and some manual controls that more experienced videographers might be used to having. It was designed with today’s generation of content creators in mind and operation is streamlined. It’s definitely worth mentioning that this is significantly more user-friendly than your typical mirrorless camera. It also lacks IBIS (meaning stabilization will be handled in-lens or using a tripod or gimbal) and 10-bit recording which can lead to a smoother gradient of colors and less banding. Superior autofocus has been part of that secret sauce and the ZV-E10 has an impressively fast, accurate, and intelligent AF system.Ĭompared to some of the more expensive mirrorless options that made this list like the Fujifilm X-S20, the ZV-E10 has a slightly more limited 30 fps frame rate at 4K resolution, although if you can settle for 1080p then you can record up to 120 fps. Sony really pulled ahead in the mirrorless video market during the early days of the mirrorless revolution, and other major brands like Canon and Nikon have been playing catch up ever since. It’s also one of the most compact APS-C cameras, which makes it easier to pack and take out on a whim. ![]() ![]() While the ZV-E10 is a vlogger/video creator-focused mirrorless camera, its emphasis on video makes it adept at filming sports as well. ![]() The map will display the estimated travel time with a Typically disclaimer. A problem with an operating system extension used in the Mac OS, called CFM68K Runtime Enabler, led to a delay in the release of the version 3.0 for Macs based on the 68k line of processors. The final version, made available on January 8, 1997, also added support for the SSL and NTLM security protocols and the PICS and RSACi rating systems that can be used to control access to websites based on content ratings. This release added support for HTML version 3.2, Cascading Style Sheets, Java applets and ActiveX controls. On November 5, 1996, Microsoft announced the release of a beta version of Internet Explorer version 3.0 for Macintosh. AOL 3.0 for Macintosh used the IE 2.1 rendering engine in its built-in web browser. Version 2.1 released in August of the same year, was mostly aimed at fixed bugs and improving stability, but also added a few features such as support for the NPAPI (the first version of Internet Explorer on any platform to do so) and support for QuickTime VR. The final version was released three months later on April 23. Available for both 68k and PPC based Macs running System 7.0.1 or later, it supported the embedding of a number of multimedia formats into web pages, including AVI and QuickTime formatted video and AIFF and WAV formatted audio. This first version was based on the Spyglass Mosaic web browser licensed from Spyglass. The first version of Internet Explorer for the Macintosh operating system was a beta version of Internet Explorer 2.0 for Macintosh, released on January 23, 1996, as a free download from Microsoft's website. IE versions for Mac typically lagged several months to a year behind Windows versions, but included some unique developments, including its own layout engine, called Tasman. Versions of Internet Explorer for Macintosh were released starting with version 2 in 1996, to version 5 which received its last patch in 2003. A Microsoft browser would not return to the macOS platform until Microsoft Edge in 2019. Microsoft recommended "that users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple's Safari." An archived version of the download is available on, but only works on Mac OS X 10.6 and earlier versions, because of the discontinuation of Rosetta. Microsoft stopped releases for the product on December 31, 2005, and they removed the application from their Macintosh downloads site on January 31, 2006. ![]() The browser was not included in the default installation of Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" which was released on April 29, 2005. On June 13, 2003, Microsoft announced that it was ceasing further development of Internet Explorer for Mac and the final update was released on July 11, 2003. Later versions diverged, particularly with the release of version 5, which included the cutting-edge, fault-tolerant and highly standards-compliant Tasman layout engine.Īs a result of the five-year agreement between Apple and Microsoft in 1997, it was the default browser on the classic Mac OS and Mac OS X from 1998 until it was superseded by Apple's own Safari web browser in 2003 with the release of Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther". Initial versions were developed from the same code base as Internet Explorer for Windows. Internet Explorer for Mac (also referred to as Internet Explorer for Macintosh, Internet Explorer Macintosh Edition, Internet Explorer:mac or IE:mac) was a proprietary web browser developed by Microsoft for the Macintosh platform to browse web pages. ![]() ![]() I showed the girl my coupon that was on my phone and she said I had to have it printed out and would not honor it. Until then I would urge families to avoid it or be prepared for a long wait in the cold.My first experience was walking and going to pay for the kids to go in the play area. More wagons and more security enforcing the rules would make for a much more family friendly experience. Perhaps changes will be made next year to expedite the long wait. ![]() I have to give the employees in the wagons credit, they did a good job in their roles as soldiers leading the “zombie eradication team” and placed a high emphasis on overall safety with the paintball guns. Unfortunately it only lasted for about 20 seconds. This was the most fun because you could actually see your paintballs hitting the zombies. The last target area is lit and featured two zombies. Because it was dark, there was no way to see if you even hitting what you were shooting at. Most of the target areas were in the dark with a single zombie hiding behind an obstacle. Actual time spent shooting at targets (some of which aren't even "live" zombies) was about 1 minute. The ride itself lasted about 15 minutes but much of the time was spent driving around the hayfield and not firing the paintball gun which is why you came. Although smoking is not allowed (dry grass, dry straw, and a dry cornfield make for a dangerous combination) many were flouting the rule and their seemed to be no one to enforce it. An argument erupted and the lone security guard had to be called to settle the situation. I witnessed one family blatantly trying to cut in near the front of the line. Because of the long wait time many families were getting out of line to buy snacks and use the restroom and then would reenter the line where they originally were. When several hundred people are in line, this makes for a loooong wait! Security was practically nonexistent. The second wagon was right behind and after that one departed the line would not move for another 10-15 minutes until the first wagon rolled around again. The employees would then reload the guns with paintballs and swap out the CO2 tank which took some time before boarding the next group. Be prepared to wait! The problem was that they only had two tractor/wagons operating. After standing in line over 3 hours we finally boarded the hay wagon around 11:15 p.m. The line for the hayride was very long but I was hoping it would move somewhat quickly. We never mad it through the maze because it took so long for the hayride. Once inside we headed for the hayride line figuring we would hit the Corn Maize (Maze) on the way out. Only two employees were manning the kiosk and it took 20 minutes to purchase our tickets. The first line we encountered was at the ticket booth. There is plenty of parking but be prepared to park in an unpaved farm field. ![]() ![]() The concept of this hayride is unique, a ride through a cornfield where zombies “attack” the wagon and must be repelled by shooting them with paintball guns mounted on turrets, but suffered from extremely poor execution! Odyssey usually delivers a fun family experience but totally dropped the ball on this one. Unfortunately I can not recommend this attraction. My kids and I recently went on the Zombie Safari Hayride at Odyssey Fun World's Fun Farm. This review is based on my experience at their Tinley Park location. |
